Media The Washington Times-Herald is a local daily newspaper distributed throughout the area. Also available are the Odon Journal and Montgomery Times, which are weekly newspapers. Several metropolitan newspapers are delivered daily as well. WAMW AM at 1580 on the dial, broadcasts with 250 watts. WAMW FM at 107.9 on the dial, broadcasts at 3,000 watts. WWBL FM at 106.5 on the dial, broadcasts with 50,000 watts. Direct television programming is received from stations in Evansville and Terre Haute, as well as an educational television station operated by Vincennes University. In addition, several independent cable tv companies & satellite services serve Washington, Odon, Elnora and Plainville. All major networks are represented. |
