Rail Three major railroads traverse Daviess County. A main line of the CSX Railroad, linking New York and St. Louis, pass through Washington and Montgomery. A spur of the Indiana Southern system serves Elnora and Plainville. In addition, the Soo Line Railroad at Odon and Elnora ultimately connects with the Louisville and Nashville Railroads as well as the Indiana Southern Railroad, completing a direct line network to all major markets in the Midwest, East and South. |
